Terms & Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply to everything you buy from, or do on, save-direct.co.uk (the Website). Goods are sold by Save Direct (UK) Limited (we, us, the Supplier), company number 09354341, VAT number GB202158748, registered office 3 Colndale Road, Colnbrook, Slough, Berkshire, SL3 0HQ. Telephone 01753 685171. Email sales@save-direct.co.uk.

  • Consumer means an individual buying for purposes mainly outside their trade, business or profession.
  • Trade Customer means any other customer, such as a dry cleaner or other business.
  • Goods means the products in your Order. Order means your order for Goods. Contract means the contract between you and us. Business Day means Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in England.

By placing an Order you agree to these terms. Sections marked Consumers apply only to Consumers, and sections marked Trade Customers apply only to Trade Customers. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Using our website

All text, images, logos and other material on the Website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. We take care to keep the Website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or interruptions. We are not responsible for viruses or damage to your equipment caused by using the Website, and we are not responsible for the content of linked websites. These points do not limit any liability we cannot lawfully limit.

3. Orders and contract

Our product descriptions, images and specifications are a guide only. Your Order is an offer to buy. A Contract is formed when we confirm dispatch of the Goods, or confirm collection availability. If we cannot accept your Order, we will tell you and refund any payment. If we discover a pricing or description error, we may cancel the Order and refund you in full. We may amend an Order where needed to comply with law.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. Prices on the Website are shown including VAT, with the price excluding VAT in brackets. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your Order and are shown before you pay. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect Orders already accepted.

Trade Customers with an account: unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable by the 20th day of the month following the invoice date, in cleared funds and without set-off or deduction. Overdue sums carry interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Amounts unpaid for more than 30 days incur a one-off administration charge of 10% of the amount outstanding, or £100, whichever is lower, and £10 applies to any cheque returned unpaid. We may suspend further deliveries while any invoice is overdue.

5. Delivery and collection

We deliver within the United Kingdom. Orders are normally delivered within 3 to 4 working days, Monday to Friday. We do not dispatch or deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. Delivery dates are estimates. If we have not agreed a date with you, we will deliver within 30 days of your Order. You can also choose Self Collection from our Slough warehouse at checkout; we will tell you when your Order is ready, and collection is available Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30. See our Delivery Information page for details.

Delivery is to the entrance of the delivery address. Risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery or collection. Please check your Goods when they arrive.

Trade Customers: if you do not take delivery or collect within five Business Days of our notice that the Goods are ready, delivery is treated as made on the fifth Business Day, we may charge storage costs, and if the Goods are still not collected after ten Business Days we may resell them and account to you for any surplus or charge any shortfall. We may deliver in instalments, each treated as a separate Contract. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control or by incomplete delivery instructions.

6. Consumers: your right to cancel

If you are a Consumer buying online you may cancel your Order, without giving a reason, within 14 days after the day you receive the Goods. To cancel, tell us clearly by email to sales@save-direct.co.uk or by telephone, giving your order number. You must return the Goods within 14 days of telling us. Goods must be unused, in their original packaging and in a resaleable condition. You pay the cost of returning them unless they are faulty or not as described. We will refund the price and standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the Goods back (we usually process refunds within 3 to 5 business days after inspection), to your original payment method. Please wait for our return instructions before sending Goods back.

The right to cancel does not apply to personalised or custom-made items (including custom-printed products), perishable goods, or sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

7. Consumers: faulty goods

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If Goods are faulty you may reject them within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. After 30 days you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and then, if that fails, a price reduction or refund. Contact us as soon as you find a fault. We will refund the cost of returning faulty or incorrect Goods. This section does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Trade Customers: inspection, returns and claims

  • Inspect on delivery. Check quantity on delivery and before signing the courier’s paperwork. Tell us about shortages, damage or wrong items within 7 days of delivery.
  • Defective goods. Goods are supplied as described, free from material defects and of satisfactory quality. Tell us in writing within 14 days of delivery if you believe Goods are defective, give us a reasonable chance to examine them, and do not use them further. We will repair, replace or refund at our option.
  • Returns of non-faulty goods. At our discretion, we accept returns within 7 days of delivery if the Goods are unused, in their original packaging and suitable for resale. Suede and leather returns for re-cleaning are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us for approval before sending anything back. Personalised, custom-printed, perishable, sale and clearance items cannot be returned unless faulty.
  • Manufacturing tolerances. Manufactured polythene products may vary by up to 10% in weight or size, and printed goods may show minor variations in colour or shade. These are not defects.
  • No liability where a defect results from misuse, failure to follow storage or use instructions, repairs or changes by you, fair wear and tear, or a design or drawing you supplied.

Return postage is the customer’s responsibility except for faulty or incorrect Goods. Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 3 to 5 business days of approval.

9. Ownership of goods

Consumers: ownership passes to you when we receive full payment.

Trade Customers: ownership stays with us until we receive payment in full for all Goods supplied to you. Until then you must keep the Goods separate, identifiable, insured and in good condition. You may resell or use them in the ordinary course of business, as principal and not as our agent. If you become insolvent, or your right to resell ends, we may repossess the Goods and enter premises where they are stored.

10. Promotions and Rebate Tokens

We may withdraw or change promotions at any time, but this does not affect Orders already accepted. Promotions may be limited by availability, region and eligibility, and we may refuse a promotion we reasonably believe is being abused.

Rebate Tokens may be offered at our discretion to customers who pay in full, up front, via the Save Direct (UK) app. They are earned at 5% of the value of qualifying Orders, excluding VAT and delivery. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and may only be redeemed against future purchases through the app on terms we set. We may change or withdraw the scheme at any time, and may withdraw tokens where there is abuse or fraud. [Confirm this scheme is still current.]

11. Subscription plans

[Confirm these plans are still current before publishing.]

  • Plans: Standard £200 per month, Advanced £250 per month, Pro £300 per month.
  • Payment: monthly by direct debit on the activation date. A one-off £30 administration sign-up fee applies. If a payment fails, subscription benefits are frozen.
  • Eligibility: 18 or over, UK resident, with a Save Direct (UK) account. Up to three delivery addresses may be registered.
  • Clean Quids: monthly payments are converted into Clean Quids, which can be spent on our products. They are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Benefits: subscribers receive 5% off other products automatically. The subscription replaces the Rebate Token scheme, and any accrued tokens are deducted when it starts.
  • Shortfall: if you do not have enough Clean Quids, you can pay the difference by card or build up Clean Quids to meet the minimum order.
  • Checks: we may carry out identity and credit checks.
  • Cancelling: give 30 days’ notice through your account or customer service. Payments already made are not refunded and Clean Quids stay usable during the notice period. You may cancel within 14 days of activation for a full refund if no Clean Quids have been spent. The administration fee is non-refundable [confirm with your adviser that this fits Consumer law].
  • After ending: unused Clean Quids revert to Rebate Tokens, valid for one year unless we refund them.
  • Misuse: we may end a subscription immediately for misuse or breach of these terms, and may limit the number of subscribers.

12. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing limits Consumers’ statutory rights.

Consumers: if we break these terms we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for business losses or losses that were not foreseeable.

Trade Customers: our total liability under or in connection with a Contract is limited to 100% of the price of the Goods concerned. We are not liable for loss of profit, sales, business, contracts, goodwill, anticipated savings, data, or indirect or consequential loss. Terms implied by sections 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 are excluded to the extent the law allows.

13. Events outside our control

Neither of us is in breach, or liable for delay, if caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe weather, strikes, supplier or courier failure, fire, flood or government action. We will tell you and do our best to deliver as soon as we reasonably can. If a delay is long, you may cancel the affected Order for a refund.

14. Ending or suspending a Contract (Trade Customers)

Either party may end a Contract by written notice if the other commits a material breach and does not fix it within 14 days, becomes insolvent or stops trading. We may end or suspend a Contract immediately if you fail to pay on time or there is a change of control of your business. On ending, all unpaid invoices become payable immediately and you must return any Goods not paid for.

15. Privacy and data protection

We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by contacting us.

16. General

  • Entire agreement. These terms and your Order are the whole agreement between us, but this does not limit any liability for fraud or any statement you can rely on by law.
  • Changes. We may update these terms. The version in force when you place your Order applies to that Order.
  • Notices. Notices must be in writing and sent to the address or email above, or to the address in your Order.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights to another business. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
  • Severance and waiver. If part of these terms is unenforceable the rest still applies, and a delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
  • Third parties. No one else has the right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • Complaints. If you have a complaint, contact us first at sales@save-direct.co.uk or 01753 685171 and we will do our best to put things right.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are a Consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
